David Brewster Obituary

David Craig Brewster passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024 in Grayson, Georgia surrounded by his loving family. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Memorial Gardens. The Repast will be held at Loganville Christian Academy Gymnasium from 3 - 6 PM. Please join us for a pick-up basketball game in honor of David. He was born October 25, 1947 in Euclid, Ohio to Thornton and Madelyn Swan Brewster. His brother Terry passed away before he was born. Dave grew up in Perry, Ohio helping his dad with the family nursery and playing basketball, baseball, and hockey with his friends. He was an excellent student and had fond memories of his political debates with his history teacher. He graduated from Perry High School in 1965 and lettered in Cross Country, Basketball, and Baseball. He then attended Hiram College majoring in Spanish, spent his junior studying abroad in Spain, and graduated in 1969. He taught Spanish for one year at Riverside High School. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and got his master's degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1971. After his dad passed away, he took over the family business, Willowbend Nursery, and grew it from 20 to 400 acres. He was an amazing salesman and got along with everyone he met. Dave had three children with his first wife: Dana (1971), Rachel (1976), and Ashley (1981). He had two children, Daven (1998) and Ciera (2005) with his wife, Cheri Hall. He cherished coaching and teaching his kids baseball, basketball, tennis, golf, and horseback riding. He was their biggest supporter. He also loved his many pets over the years.
He is survived by his wife Cheri and his kids: Dana (Kim), Rachel (Rich), Ashley (Bear), Daven and Ciera. His grandkids: Brynna, Garrett, Madelyn, Preston, Dylan, Lena, Karley, Kolston, Kameron, and Kaden. They will always love and remember their Boppy.
