David Keith Christiansen was born on December 9, 1970, and died on November 5, 2024, in Spanish Fork, Utah.
A graduate of South Fremont High School (1989), David excelled in Student Leadership and sports, most notably in basketball, where he was an all-star center. David was also the student body President his senior year and introduced activities and events to South Fremont High School that are still occurring today.
David attended Ricks College, Brigham Young University, and Idaho State University, where he earned Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate Degrees. He served a church mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Curitiba, Brazil. David was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he enjoyed several church callings, especially that of ward executive secretary.
David worked as a teacher, ESOL instructor, and as an instructional designer. He published and sold several textbooks for teachers to use in their ESOL and ESL courses. He loved traveling and taught overseas in Europe and Asia for many years.
An expert craftsman as well, David created many amazing works of art, most notably chess sets and Nativity sets made from various exotic woods.
David is survived by his mom, Janice, and his siblings, Craig (Sondra), Kathryn Bichsel (Jed), Steven (Alisha) and Brian (Mandie). David was preceded in death by his father, Sam, and two siblings, John and Emilie.
A funeral service will be held on November 16, 2024, at 11 o'clock at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 3rd/4th Ward Building located at 507 West 2nd North, St. Anthony, Idaho, 83445. A visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
