David Dorota Obituary

Dave was born on April 11, 1938, in Hawkins, WI to Frank and Anna (Plaza) Dorota. He graduated from Highland High School in 1956. In 1962, he married Rita Aide, and they began their life of farming and raising their children. Dave loved the outdoors and enjoyed all types of hunting: bear, elk, deer, coyote, wild boar, and raccoon just to name a few. He also enjoyed fishing and dog water races at his pond.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Alex Yager; his sister and brother, Dale & Dan Dorota; brothers- and sisters-in law, Laverne "Shank" Yanna, Clifford Aide, Bob Aide, Bill Aide, Donna Welsh, Jack O'Flaherty, Earl Welsh, and Margaret Aide.
Dave is survived by his wife, Rita; daughters: Brenda (Jerry) Yager, Tammy (Steve) Wienkes, Sandy (Gary) Esser; son, Jesse Dorota; his sister, Diane Yanna; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in law, Ronnie (Dianne) Aide, Bonnie Leigh O'Flahrity, Janet Aide; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, beginning at 1:00 pm at Red Zone, 360 Main St, Highland. The McGuire-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Highland, is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be gifted in Dave's name to Uplands Hills Health Hospice.
The family would like to thank Stacy Campbell and Upland Hills Health Hospice for keeping Dave comfortable during his final days.
