David Joe Landreth, 46, of Calhoun Falls, husband of Jenny Corley Landreth, went to his heavenly home Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born in Simpsonville to Terry W. and Cathy Jacks Landreth.

A 1996 graduate of Buncombe County High School and a member of Simpsonville First Baptist Church, David had a love for his wife, his son and his cattle that was unmatched.

He laid the foundation for a life rooted in hard work and passion at McKenley Creek Cattle Co. David, Jenny & Austin worked side by side and loved every minute of it. He would always lend a helping hand, a listening ear, a piece of advice or a joke. David opened his heart, farm and home to numerous students over the years. He always said we had to get these young folks interested in agriculture. David’s contributions to the cattle industry showed his commitment to cattleman, the value of quality cattle, and supporting our youth,

Beyond his work with cattle, he found joy in the great outdoors. David cherished the moments spent hunting and fishing with family and friends, activities that brought him peace and fulfillment and allowed him to connect with nature and the rural lifestyle he embraced wholeheartedly.

David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Jenny, of the home; son, Austin Landreth of Calhoun Falls; his parents, Terry and Cathy Landreth of Simpsonville; and brother, Matt (Carla) Landreth and his two nephews Declan & Callum of Greer. Along with too many friends to name. We love you all!

A celebration of life will be held at the home.

A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.harrisfuneral.com.

The family would like to thank you for your outpouring of love and support during this very difficult time. It means more to us than you will ever know!  They would also like to thank the staff of Self Regional, especially his nurse Leigha, who gave amazing care and compassion.
