David M. Summerlin, 83, of Villa Rica, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1942, the son of the late Harry Weyman Summerlin and Maggie Louise Pharr Summerlin.
David had a deep love for his family; they were his life, providing strength, support and love throughout his journey. David loved gospel music, westerns, food and smoking meat. David was a devoted member of Ephesus Baptist Church. He loved his life group and family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Harry W. Summerlin, Jr.; sisters, Marie Summerlin and Carolyn Slay.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Summerlin; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristine (Timmy) Wilkins of Dallas, Angela Stephens of Carrollton, and Stacy (Billy) Jordon of Bowdon; grandsons, Chad Stephens, Justin Wilkins, Joshua Jordon, David Wilkins, Ethan Jordon, Alex Stephens, and Collin Stephens; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 12:30 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church. A celebration of life will follow at 12:30 PM with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.
David leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and deep faith that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
