David Franklin Thomas, 35, of Oak Grove, Missouri, formerly of Nevada, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri.
A family hosted celebration of life will be held from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Dyer Park 601 W Main Street Odessa, MO 64076. David was born August 15, 1988, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Laura Sue (Thomas) Nichols and Gary Dean Fenton, Sr. He attended Oak Grove High School. David was a cook for Popeye’s in Oak Grove, Missouri. David was married to Jessica Hudson on June 6, 2009. Along with spending time with family and friends, David enjoyed camping, fishing, car rides, and listening to music.
David is survived by two children, Faith Marie and Grace Lynn Thomas of Bates City, MO; a niece, Nirvana Thomas of Nowata, OK, maternal grandmother, Sandra Thomas of Olathe, KS; aunt, Barbra Ornder of Nowata, OK; two brothers, Gary Fenton Jr. of Nevada, MO, and Skyler Fenton of Nevada, MO; and many cousins, relatives, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Nichols; a sister, Heather Thomas; maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Thomas, and a cousin, Kara Ornder.
