Debbie was born on December 16, 1951, in Hanford, California to Loyd Cope and Juanita (Stewart) Cope.
Debbie's academic journey culminated in her graduation with a high school diploma, a foundation that served her well in her varied professional life. She began her career at Kickernick, a local manufacturing company, before finding her calling among the books as a librarian for the McAlester public library. Debbie's passion for organization and helping others eventually led her to Liberty Abstract then onto Executive Title Insurance, where she dedicated over 20 years of service until her retirement in 2023. Her colleagues remember her as a diligent and kind-hearted individual who brought warmth and efficiency to every task she undertook.
Beyond her professional life, Debbie was a woman of deep faith and endless generosity. She found great joy in worship and cherished every moment spent with her family. Known as a peacemaker, she often put the needs of others before her own, embodying the essence of selflessness. Those who knew Debbie were touched by her loving nature, and she was often described as one of the kindest people one could ever meet. Debbie grew up to be a beacon of love and faith in her community.
Debbie's interests extended to the simple pleasures in life. She delighted in the laughter of her grandchildren, the company of her friends, and the quiet moments of reflection. Her life was a living example of the words that best describe her: faith-filled, selfless, and loving. She was and is the best example of "Unconditional Love".
Debbie is survived by her son, Steven Kimble and wife, Darcy, of Broken Arrow; her cherished grandchildren, Branden Kimble, Juanita Simone Kimble, also of Broken Arrow; her sister, Connie Ramsey, and her husband, Wayne, of McAlester; nephew, Thomas Ramsey and wife, Cindy, of Ada. Along with other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Fowler; her brother, Tom Cope; a niece, Kelly (Ramsey) Cable, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms on the other side.
As we say farewell to Debra Jean (Cope) Durbin, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her memory will be cherished and her spirit will continue to guide us in the days and years to come.
