Debra Kay Carlson, 63, of Keosauqua, IA, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at her home. A private graveside service will be held in the Forbes Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Deb's honor may be directed to the family. Friends may leave online condolences at www.cranstonfamilyfunerahome.com.
Debra Kay Carlson was born on May 31, 1961, in Ottumwa, IA, to Kenneth and Maurita White. She grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School. Deb spent several years working at Barker Wire until her health would no longer allow. She was united in marriage to Ronald Carlson, on December 19, 1993, at their home. She was the loving mother of three children: Christopher Fletcher, Melissa (Brad) Buechel and Melia (Nick) Dodson. Her life was further enriched by her seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and her many friends.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth White and Maurita (Ed) Shadduck; her brother, Bill White and sister, Betty Parcel.
Her memory will be honored and kept alive by her husband, Ronald, her children, her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brothers, Robert (Rosemary) White and David White and best friend, Terry Grooms.
