Debra Dale Obituary

Debra Louise Dale, 67, of Lawton, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born October 19, 1957 in Paw Paw, MI to Richard and Trevlyn (Ruple) Marks.
The family will receive guests from 11am until time of celebration of life service at 12pm, Friday, November 1, 2024 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur, Jim Abshagen officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
If you wanted to find Deb, you would often need to look outdoors. Whether it was working, or tending to her gardens, Deb's love for the outdoors was only second to the love she had for her family, especially her only son, and numerous grandchildren. She lovingly treated her plants with attention and care, along with her many cherished cats, as well as all the local racoons she tended to "adopt".
Deb will be missed dearly by her husband, Allen Jay Dale, whom she married on June 2, 1990 in Decatur; her son Travis (Amy) Smith; her grandchildren, Kamron (Faith) Harris, Makenzie Weller, Colby Spangler, Marissa Smith, and Riley Weller; her great grandchildren, Jaxon Blades, and Addie Joyce; and her siblings, Kathy (Tom Henslee) McClung, and Jack Marks.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Robin Marks; and her parents.
