Dennis Dwayne Dillingham, 76 returned peacefully to his Heavenly Father on October 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. Dennis was born on April 15, 1948, in Payson, Utah, to Dwayne Dillingham and Leona Jackman Dillingham. He grew up with his brother, Lynn, and sisters, Janice and Linda.
After graduating from Provo High School in 1966, Dennis studied Accounting at BYU and Weber State College. He navigated his career and life with a strong work ethic, meekness, and humility.
Dennis was the beloved husband of Jacquline Young Dillingham, whom he affectionately called "Lock's," they were sealed in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Manti Temple on June 14, 1968, and shared 56 years of cherished companionship, love and deep devotion together.
He and Jacque were blessed with seven children: Dan (Diana) Dillingham "Dan'l," Shawnette (Juan) Dillingham "Shawny," Mishelle (Scott) Browning "Meachy Peachy," Shelena (Shane) Crowton "Shelly Bell," Alicha (Aaron) Mills "Leaser ball," Kristen (Ryan) Steele "Kristy Fur," and Chandra (Darin) Jackson "Chawan." Dennis was known for giving everyone endearing nicknames. His legacy continues through his 33 beloved grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Dennis was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, finding great fulfillment in his callings and serving others selflessly. He exemplified Christlike love and compassion, bringing joy and comfort to those around him through his actions and interactions with others.
Dennis was witty, funny, and full of life, always ready with a joke or a funny story to lift spirits. His positive outlook on life was infectious, often responding to inquiries about his well-being with "Fantabulastic" or "If I were any better, there would be two of me."
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but we take solace in knowing that he has returned to his Heavenly Father and is reunited with loved ones that have gone before him. Dennis leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire us all.
