Dennis was born on November 8, 1951 in Maplewood, West Virginia to Lawrence and Beulah (nee Gunnoe) Hundley. He was the second eldest of their seven children. At the age of 6, Dennis moved with his family to Long Island, eventually settling in Kings Park. He was extremely close to his family: his parents, and his 6 siblings Larry, Linda, James, Shirley Kay and Danny Ray, and Debbie; as well as their beautiful families. He also cared for his wife's extended family as he would his own
Dennis graduated Kings Park Senior High School in 1969, and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 to 1973. He married the love of his life, Kathleen Susan (nee Muldoon) in 1972, ruggedly handsome in his Marine Corps Dress Blues.
Following his military service, Dennis served 22 years with the NYPD, retiring as a Detective.
He was the devoted father of two beautiful daughters, Katie (Richard Tedesco) and Lisa Hundley (Nazir Naik) and adoring grandfather to three amazing girls, Erinn, Sarah and Elaina.
Dennis enjoyed golf, wood working, hot rods, history, traveling (especially to tropical locales and to see family) and scuba diving.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents and his brother James.
All who knew him loved him, and he will be sorely missed by them all.
