Dianne Gonya, 77, of McComb, MS passed away peacefully at home surrounded with loved ones on October 28, 2024.
No services to be announced at this time. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.
Dianne was born in Dansville, NY on July 13, 1947, to the late Kathryn Eldridge and David Humble.
She was a loving mother and wife. Over her thirty years of teaching high school history, she touched many lives showing her love for history.
She loved to travel the world with her family to experiences new cultures and see the places the history she loved happened. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister who will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Kathryn and Stepdad Dale Eldridge and Father David Humble.
She is survived by her husband James Gonya of 55 years; two daughters, Heather Wilkerson and husband Michael Wilkerson, daughter Jessica Hollingsworth and husband Robbie Hollingsworth; and four grandchildren, Kathryn Wilkerson, Michael Wilkerson, Claire Hollingsworth, and Mac Hollingsworth; two brothers, George Eldridge, John Eldridge; and one sister, Martha Widmark.
Thank you to all the loving people from Hospice who took care of her for the last nine months.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation or American Macular Degeneration Foundation. Each one of these foundations were close to Dianne's heart due to having all these diseases.
