Dianne Lynn McCollum, a spicy beacon of joy and laughter, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Berea, KY, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on January 7, 1958, in Rockcastle County, KY, Dianne's vibrant spirit and infectious humor touched all who knew her.
Dianne retired from a fulfilling career at Berea College and was a devoted member of Roundstone Baptist Church.
Known as the Rotten Red Head, Dianne's love for Elvis, all things sparkly, and her title as the accessory queen were emblematic of her playful nature. She had an unparalleled ability to make people laugh, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Mary Abney McCollum, and her sister, Delores Gail McCollum. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Per Dianne's wishes, she will be cremated, and her family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Condolences may be left for her family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com

I absolutely loved her growing up. I would always sit next to her in church and she would always give me candy and make me laugh. She never forgot a birthday and would always check on my life and schooling. She was really there for my when my mom passed and I'll always be grateful to her. I just know they're sitting together again and catching up. She was so sweet and spicy is right!

Every time I would go in her room she had the brightest smile on her face and she would say hey pretty lady. Gosh this one hurt so bad. My condolences to her beautiful family. She will be missed
