Dominic Herrera Obituary

Dominic went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2024. His family is deeply saddened by this unimaginable loss. Dominic was born on February 4, 1977, in Cuba New Mexico. 

He leaves behind his beautiful children, Nohelani, Alicia, and Estevan, and two grandchildren Kai and Kalani.  His father Steve Herrera whom he always called his best friend, his mother Darlene Herrera, brother Steven Herrera and his nephew Steven Herrera. Yes, all Steves! 

Dominic loved going fishing, playing pool, meeting people, and sharing stories. He never met a stranger, he would talk to everyone and no matter where we went he knew someone. Our lives are forever changed. He was the most big-hearted giving person you could imagine. His joy in life was his kids, his family, and helping others. His legacy to us is to live each day in this way. We will miss his beautiful smile and his caring ways. Our son, this is not a road we wanted to travel, but God has his plan, only with his strength will we be able to continue. 

You are gone from this world but you will forever be in our hearts until we meet again. As you would say, "Love You, Bueno Bye". 

There will be a Visitation Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
