Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maupin Funeral Home - Fulton on Nov. 2, 2024.
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Dominique E-KeVaughn Ford. On October 25, 2024, at just 27 years old, he made his journey to the arms of the lord.
He was born in
Fulton, Missouri on June 22, 1997. He was loved fiercely by his parents Keith Ford and Tacia Brandt and will forever remain a bright light in their lives, as he now lives on in their hearts.
Dominique's life was one full of experiences, which are wonderfully detailed through his resiliency, hobbies, passions, and personality. Dominique, or as most would come to know him as "Dommo," loved life and made sure to live every day to the fullest. He had a passion for the Lord and accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in
Fulton, Missouri and a member of their church choir. Dominique was a graduate of Fulton High School, class of 2015. After high school he held a few different jobs, most recently working for Danuser Machine Company as a laser tech specialist. He continued his education as well, attending Lincoln University. He immersed himself into the business and teaching programs on his path to become a physical education teacher.
Dominique enjoyed playing video games and had a strong love for music. He would often write his own lyrics as well as rap and sing. Adrenaline rushes such as snowboarding and ziplining would often pique Dominique's interest, and a dream of one day owning a yellow GT Mustang was next in line lending to his true dare devil personality. The Oregon Ducks football team was his favorite and he rarely missed a chance to watch them play. Dominique had a special bond with his sister Kaydian. His family and friends were of upmost importance to him, and he would use every opportunity to spend time making priceless memories with those he loved the most. Today and forever, he flies free, and his legacy will forever be celebrated.
His memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Keith Ford and Tacia Brandt; brothers; Kalub Ford, Jeremiah Ford, JaVhon Ford; sisters, Kierra Ford, Diamond James, Kaydian Sincleair; maternal grandparents, Cecil Brandt and Carmen McBride Brandt; paternal grandmother, Lizzie Ford, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Dominique was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Whitney; maternal great grandparents, Percy and Ruth McBride, and Cecil Brandt Sr. and Betty Brandt; paternal great grandmother, Maple Ford; maternal great great grandparents, Woodrow and Nannie Ellington.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Callaway Christian Church with Reverend Lard E. Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
