Donald Ray "Don" Brooks, age 75, of Lawrence Park, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born in Erie on November 17, 1948, son of the late Ray Frank and Sophie Ann Duchnowski Brooks.

Don was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Electric after over 35 years. Don was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed bowling.

Don is survived by six children, Ray Brooks (Erin), John Testi, Ron Testi (Sami), Catina Szymanski (Dan), Jennifer Brooks and Donald Brooks, Jr.; two brothers, Patrick Brooks (Sue) and Michael Brooks (Michele); two sisters, Debbie Brooks and Mary White (Chris); 16 grandchildren, Bethany, Daniel, Kaitlyn, Catheryn, Michael, Nickolas, Alex, Lauren, Shaunna, Tiffany, Branson, Aria, Aubriel, Ashlyn, Brianna and Kayla; 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Florence I. Brooks; and two brothers, David and Marty Brooks.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Thursday at 10 am. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
