Don was the first real cowboy I ever met, way back at ATI. I remember having fun and learning. He will be missed. I recall very good memories with him and Anne.

I went to ATI and one of my fondest memories was Don taking the judging team to UMASS for competition. On the way we stopped at his friends in Albany NY road horses all night. It was a fun trip. Don was a great person and my condolences go yo his family. I know he will be greatly missed. Nancy West

I first met Don at ATI the fall of 78 and there wasn´t a week that went by in those 46 years that we didn´t talk about ideas we had bouncing them off each other or go on one of a thousand road trips across this country, mostly on gravel roads it seemed. He was a true blue friend and confidant and the knowledge he had related to horses and land management practices that he loved to share will be deeply missed. Rest in peace my friend, and give Blue Dog a scratch behind her ears for me.

I am Don's brother-in-law. I remember him as a happy man. He loved his wife, Anne, and son, Cody. He will be missed by all of us.
