Donald Tyler Burdette of Camby, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2024, at 37 years old. He was born April 4, 1987, in Belleville, Illinois to Donald Wayne Burdette and Lisa (Beaver) Taylor. Tyler, as he was affectionately known worked at Allison’s Transmission as a Global Supply Chain Supervisor for the past several years. He was a 2006 graduate of Decatur Central High School where he was a gifted athlete lettering in baseball, basketball, wrestling, and football. He also attended Northern Illinois University. Tyler was an avid softball player and loved coaching youth sports. He had quite a sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh, cracking jokes and he simply enjoyed and got a great deal of satisfaction serving others. Tyler is survived by his loving wife, Sonya, his daughter, Anya, his mother, Lisa Burdette-Taylor, his father, Donald (Tricia) Burdette, his sister, Heather (Tony) Alvey, his brother, Matt (Leanne) Jones, his sister-in-law, Tiffany (Timmy) Riggen, his mother-in-law, Shelly Steffy, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald (Judy) Beaver, Donald (Barb Isner) Burdette, his stepfather, Tommy Shanks, and his brother, Travis Burdette. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Valley Mills Christian Church 5555 Kentucky Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana with the service immediately following at 4:00pm.
