Donald Taylor, 80, of Pocomoke, husband of the late Peggy Byrd Taylor, passed away on September 8, 2024.
Born on October 26, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Franklin Taylor and Essie Virginia Williams Taylor. Donald was a small engine mechanic and loved his job both as a profession and a hobby. He enjoyed going to auctions, especially alongside his wife. Donald was an easygoing, caring person who would always help whenever needed. More than anything, he was endlessly devoted to his wife of 55 years, Peggy.
Donald is survived by a daughter, Rose Taylor (Sam)of Pocomoke City, MD; grandchildren, Justin Wright (Amanda) of Pocomoke, Jordan Wright (Abigail) of Pocomoke, Stacey Landon of Pocomoke, and Hope Taylor of DE; great-grandchildren, Rowen, Jordyn and Maya Wright and Mariah Waters; a sister, Marie Taylor of Stephen City, VA; and a special friend, Linda Robinson (Rob).
Other than his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Roger Taylor; and siblings, William F. Taylor, Jr., Grace Eby, Robert Taylor and Jean Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 165, Onley, VA 23418 or the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by the Thornton Funeral Home in Parksley, VA.
