Donna Marie Coney, 62, passed away at home in Anchorage on January 30th, 2025. Donna was born on February 20th, 1962, in Anchorage to Ora Lee Coney and Glenn Campbell. She graduated from high school and SST Travel School, later working at Anchorage International Airport.
Donna had a vibrant passion for fashion and music. She was known for her quick wit and contagious sense of humor, always finding ways to lift the spirits of those around her. Family states, "Donna had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to life's most challenging moments. She was full of kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a hand and often giving her last to support and uplift those she loved." She was a talented cook and cherished spending time with her family, especially her sons, Seirgio and Adonus, and her granddaughter, Genesis Guzman.
Donna is survived by her sons, Seirgio Hernandez and Adonus Baugh; her granddaughter, Genesis Guzman; sisters, Gloria Coney and Angel Coney; half-sister, Barbara Campbell; step-mom, Diane Campbell; and half-brother, Mike Lewis.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Friendship Church, 903 E 13th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 99501. Reverend Patterson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will include Seirgio Hernandez, Adonus Baugh, Chris Fields, Hugh Brown, Andrew Katzenburger, and Bernard Powell.
A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Steakhouse, 320 W 5th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501.
Arrangements were made with Janssen Funeral Homes.
