Dorothy M Barbarini
Dorothy M Barbarini (Troup), age 90, of Erie, PA, entered heaven and was reunited with her loved ones on Friday, October 25, 2024. She was born in Sagamore, PA on July 18, 1934, daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Troup.
Dorothy was a stay-at-home Mom and always put her family first. She was always helping to plan camping trips, birthday parties and all functions to keep her family connected. If someone was going through a difficult time you could count on Dorothy being by their side. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and gave of her time and was always available when someone needed her. She volunteered her time at Brevillier Village to help with activities for the residents. She even received a special recognition for all the time and energy she spent making the residents happy and comfortable. Dorothy was a snowbird and loved her time spent in Florida with her husband, Leo, sister, Grace and friends.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Debra McWilliams (John) and Karen Mueller; three sons, Robert Barbarini (Tia), Michael Barbarini (Heidi), and Thomas Barbarini (Darla); three sisters, Ella Mae Crissman, Marge Haggerty (Ed), and Betty Toth (Alan); three brothers, Calvin Troup (Mary Lou), Richard Troup, and Leonard Troup (Judy); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Barbarini; one grandchild, Emily Barbarini; three sisters, Ruth Sheffar, Grace Betts, and Barb Beresnyak; and eight brothers, Tom, Charlie, Doug, Jack, Fred, Ron, Vern and Sam.
A service for family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 837 Bartlett Rd, Harborcreek, PA 16421 on Tuesday, October 29th at 11 am. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice Fund, Hamot Health Foundation, 100 State St., Suite 510, Erie, PA 16507-9948 and/or Our Lady of Mercy Church, 837 Bartlett Rd, Harborcreek, PA 16421. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
