MANCHESTER, TENNESSEE – Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Gribble, age 91, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024. Mrs. Gribble was born June 22, 1933 to the late Noah and Entha Rachel Gilbert Bratcher. She worked as a seamstress at Batesville Casket Company and attended Forest Mill United Methodist Church. She was a woman of many talents and found joy in creating and giving to her loved ones as she crafted pieces, both through sewing and crocheting. Cooking and spending time with her grandchildren will leave countless cherished memories. Her love for flowers brought beauty and warmth to her life.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gribble was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Gribble; son, Bobby Ray Gribble and 6 brothers, Woodrow, John, Gene, Joe, James and Hollis Bratcher.
Mrs. Gribble is survived by one son, Ronnie Gribble; two daughters, Bernice & her husband, Delbert Hampton and Janie & her husband, Tim Dotson; four grandchildren, Mitzi Lowe, Travis & his wife, Allison Dotson, Chad & his wife, Candice Hampton and Sarah & her husband, Lucas Fletcher; great grandsons, Cason Hampton, Collier Fletcher and great grandson on-the-way, Noah Ray Fletcher.
Visitation with the Gribble family will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Central Funeral Home. Graveside service will immediately follow at 1:00pm at Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Smithville, TN.
