Dorothy Fairchild Hollingsworth
Dorothy Fairchild Hollingsworth, age 88, passed away at her home in the Forkville community, on September 6, 2024. She passed away due to complications from a stroke. She was surrounded by her supportive family.
Family visitation was held from at 9:30 – 10:00, and public visitation from 10:00 - 11:30, Monday, September 9, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Chapel service was held at 11:30 Monday from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Brother Earl Clark and Brother Shayne Wilkinson officiated the services. There was no graveside service.
Mrs. Hollingsworth loved flowers and gardening, playing dominoes with her children and sisters. She especially enjoyed her Sunday School class and loved her church family.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lynnwood Moore and Jessie Mae Bone Moore, her husband, Riley Fairchild, husband Jack Hollingsworth, son, Tommy Fairchild, son in law, Latrelle Ashley, sister Doris Bedwell, and brothers Joseph Moore and James Ernest Moore.
She is survived by her five children, Lanee Ashley, Charles (Jill) Fairchild, Melanie (Bruce) Crain, Dena Gray (Bob) and Hez Hollingsworth (Suzanne) and thirteen grandchildren, LaChelle Ashley, Lauren Stuart, Shontelle Barnes, Dallas Fairchild, Daxton Fairchild, Jami Fairchild, Alex Crain, Laura Canterbury, Mitchelle Fairchild, Michael Fairchild, Zack Hollingsworth, Miller Hollingsworth and Kyle Gray (Pamela); eleven great grandchildren, Madyson Gibson, Avery Stuart, Montanna Tucker, Mayson Vines, Taylor Fairchild, Sadie Fairchild, Abby Crain, Jackson Crain, Ellie Smith, Cade Gray and Kelsey Gray and three great, great grandchildren, Tyler Raine McCrory, Piper Tucker and Bennett Tucker; three sisters, Margaret Shepherd, Mary Johnson, and Linda Shedd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church Stancill Sunday School Class.
