Obituary
Dorothy Ann (Mason) Miller
November 21, 1943 - September 8th, 2024
Dorothy Ann Miller passed away at her home at the age of 80, surrounded by loving family members on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, due to a massive stroke.
Dorothy entered this world humbly by being born in a boxcar alongside the railroad tracks in Frannie, Wyoming. She lived in Frannie with her family until the age of 7 when they moved to Greybull, Wyoming. Dorothy went to school and graduated from Greybull High School in May 1962. She met and married Robert (Bob) Miller in April 1962. They later divorced; Dorothy never remarried.
She was a stay-at-home mom until her girls were old enough to attend school. Dorothy started working at the K-Bar motel, then the Coast-to-Coast Hardware Store as a clerk, eventually moving onto Big Horn Co-op Hardware Hank Store where she was a clerk for over 20 years. Everyone knew that if they needed something from the Co-op, they went to Dorothy. She knew where everything was. She was the longest living member of the Grace Southern Baptist Church, a member of the Elks (Does), and Eagles Auxiliary for many years. She also served on the board of directors for Greybull Senior Center and helped deliver meals on wheels.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Mabel Mason; one brother, Boyd Mason; two sisters, Barbara Jensen and Darline Meyers, and one grandson, Christopher Werner.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Miller of Evansville, WY, Deanna (Bobby) Miller-Werner of Basin, Wyoming; brother, Lloyd Mason of Prescott, AZ; granddaughters, Casey Whiteman of Casper, Sarah (Branden) Sampson of Glen Easton, West Virginia; great-grandchildren: Drexol, Billy, Niko, Dorothy and Kamryn; her three dear closest friends, Billie, Diane and Karen, plus numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Everyone who knew Dorothy, immediately liked her. She had a loving spirit and a huge smile. She was ready for the next adventure and always had a great time wherever she went. She will be profoundly missed by everyone who came in contact with her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grace Southern Baptist Church. Please send checks to PO Box 524, Worland, Wyoming.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Grace Southern Baptist Church (424 S 5th St. Greybull, Wy). Inurnment will be held at the Donald J. Ruhl Cemetery in Greybull with a reception to follow at the Greybull Elks Lodge #1431. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
