Dorothy J. Taubenheim, 96, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Countryside Manor in Sheboygan. She was born March 8, 1928, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Arnold and Frances (Peronto) Herrbold.
On January 4, 1947, she was united in marriage to Elwin Charles Taubenheim in Sheboygan. They celebrated 49 years together. Elwin preceded her in death in 1996.
Dorothy loved her job working in the jewelry department at J.C. Penny in Sheboygan. Loved being around people.
She had a strong faith and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church her whole life.
Dorothy was an avid reader, loved watching old movies, listening to music and spending time with her many friends.
Dorothy is survived by her son Toby (Tina) Taubenheim of Miamisburg, OH, eight grandchildren; Adam (Mereka) Taubenheim of San Francisco, CA, Allyson (Jake) Garin of Apple Valley, MN, Andrew (Mariah) Taubenheim of Madison, Alexander (Michelle) Taubenheim of Middleton, Aaron Taubenheim of Minneapolis, MN, Anna Taubenheim of Minneapolis, MN, Scott Schulz of Delevan and Laura Dowdy of CA, and seven great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elwin, daughter Pamela Hirsch, four brothers, Delbert Herrbold, Ken Herrbold, Glenn Herrbold, and Jimmy Herrbold, and a sister Betty Norman.
Per Dorothy's wishes a private family service will take place sometime in early summer.
