Duane Pfund Obituary
Duane R. Pfund, age 78, of Mondovi, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Hillview Assisted Living of Mondovi.
He was born in Mondovi on May 16, 1946 and was the son of the Dorothy and the late Orval Pfund.
Duane attended Gilman Valley Elementary School and graduated from Gilmanton High School.
Following high school, Duane worked for Equity Cooperative Mill in Mondovi. He later began a career at the Badger Foundry in Winona until his retirement.
Duane enjoyed Sunday afternoons spending time with his friends watching either the Green Bay Packers or NASCAR races.
Duane is survived by his mother, Dorothy Serum, of Mondovi; children, Neil (Lisa) Pfund of Random Lake, WI, DeeAnn Pfund of Goodview, MN, Denise (Tom) Bender of Maricopa , AZ and Nick Pfund of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Payton Bender, Tegan (Tyson) Price, Amber (CJ) Godlin, Coty (Ashley) Bahr, Brooke (Brady) Pfund, Erika (Mike) Lutzke, Derrick (Emily) Bahr, McKenzie (Adam) Pfund; Sabrina Pfund, Selinia Pfund and Skylar Ehlenfeldt; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Marty Martini; nephews, Bill (Diane) Williams and Mark (Jennifer) Williams; also by cousins and friends.
Besides his father, Duane was preceded in death by his brother, Hewitt.
A prayer service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi with Chaplain Gary Preston presiding. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 1:00 PM until the hour of the prayer service at the funeral heme.
