Dulcie Gloria Redguard, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on November 8, 1931, in Russells, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Dulcie lived a life rich in love, creativity, and service to others.

Dulcie was the cherished daughter of Cyril Levy and Ida Jane Russell. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, particularly with her beloved Aunt Maisy and Uncle "Bee" in Mandeville. Her formative years were spent in Kingston, Jamaica, where she developed a deep-rooted commitment to her community, particularly through her active participation in church youth services.

On June 17, 1961, Dulcie married the love of her life, Kenneth Joseph Redguard. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter and support. Dulcie was a devoted mother to her two children, Marjorie E. Redguard and Charles Mark Redguard. She embraced motherhood with grace and compassion, instilling in her children the values of hard work and kindness.

In pursuit of a better life for her family, Dulcie migrated to the United States with her children, where she continued to exemplify resilience and strength. Her professional journey included working as a nursing aid in a hospital, where she provided compassionate care to those in need. Additionally, she showcased her artistic talents through embroidery, creating beautiful works for private clients and various companies.

Dulcie's dedication to her family extended beyond her immediate circle. She treasured her role as a grandmother to Thomas Earl Cook III, Josiah Redguard, and Joelle Redguard, always eager to share stories, wisdom, and love with the next generation. She is also survived by her sister, Pansy Salmon, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless loving family members whose lives she touched profoundly. Among her many hobbies, Dulcie found immense joy in gardening, cultivating both beautiful flowers and nurturing vegetables, often sharing her harvest with those around her. Her green thumb and passion for nature were a testament to her nurturing spirit. Dulcie's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in her church community, where her kindness and unwavering support for youth services left a lasting impact on many young lives. She embodied the values of love, compassion, and generosity, which will continue to resonate within her family and community. Dulcie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth, and her parents, Cyril and Ida. Her gentle soul and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing and honor of Dulcie's life will be held on October 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM and a funeral service at 11am at the Northside Assembly of God. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Burial Park after the funeral.

Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the remarkable life of Dulcie Gloria Redguard, remembering her enduring legacy of love, strength, and compassion.

Dulcie Gloria Redguard's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
