Dusan Bec Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dusan Bec, of Berwyn, IL, who departed this life on November 16, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on March 6, 1948, in the former Yugoslavia, Dusan was a man of immense dedication and loyalty, always placing his family and friends at the forefront of his life.Dusan's enjoyment in life came from the care he extended to others and his devotion to his family. A man of Christian faith, he lived his life grounded in the principles of love and kindness. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Ljubica Bec, and his children: Dragan (Maria) Bec, Snezana Bec, and Gordana (Paul) Williams, who will proudly carry forward his legacy.
His grandchildren, Chrysostomos (John), Theodora, and Nektarios Bec, will remember their grandfather fondly, along with his beloved brother Milivoj Bec. Dusan also leaves behind his cherished nieces, Deanna and Marina Bec. Deda Dujo will forever be loved and cherished by Michael and Haleigh Patno. Dusan's entire family held a special place in his heart including his cousins, friends and Kumovi. His parents, Petar and Sofija Bec, predeceased him, yet their spirit continued through his life.
Known for his humor and hardworking nature, Dusan brought joy and a sense of ease to all those around him. He was truly a beacon of light in the lives of his friends and family.
A visitation to honor his memory will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 3 PM to 8 PM at the Adolf Funeral Home, 2921 S. Harlem Ave., Berwyn, IL. A ponen service will be held at 7pm. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 11am at the New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Cemetery 35249 West Grant Ave, Third Lake, IL.
