Dwain Welch Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Ottis Dwain Welch will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Peniel Baptist Church, Glenmora, with Reverend Calvin Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Peniel Cemetery, Glenmora, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Welch, 74, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Dwain was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by one son, Chad Welch; and his parents, Ottis and Ruby Welch.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Karen Marie Welch of Glenmora; one son, Jerry Dwain Welch of Alexandria; one daughter, Nancy Bounds (Grant) of Glenmora; two brothers, Joel Welch of Elmer, and Danny Welch of Glenmora; two sisters, Brenda Stokes of Iota, and Danita Adkins of Glenmora; six grandchildren, Tristan Welch, Zoie Welch, Christopher Conley, Blake Bounds, Kirstianna Bounds, and Xander Bounds; and one great grandson, Luke Bounds.
A time of visitation will be held at Peniel Baptist Church, Glenmora, on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Robbie Welch, J.R. Welch, Ryan Welch, Dylan Adkins, Blake Bounds, Tristan Welch, and Xander Bounds.
