Dwight Dodson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watson Funeral Home & Memorial Park - Winchester on Jan. 16, 2025.
Lloyd "Dwight" Dodson, age 51, of Cropwell, Alabama, passed away on January 13, 2025 at St. Vincent East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born on May 20, 1973 in Decherd, Tennessee, to the late Lloyd Dodson, and Frankie Heade. He was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Pell City, Alabama. He was previously employed with Walmart for 14 years and later Ace Hardware. To know Dwight was to laugh. He could cheer anybody up with a joke, or talk to anybody he met. Nobody left a conversation with Dwight without being told that Jesus loved them. Dwight loved wrestling, true crime shows, and bragging about his children. He was a father, a husband, a brother, and a friend, and he loved with his whole heart. He is survived by his loving wife of fourteen years, Bethany Dodson; children, Britney (James) Lymn, Gracelyn Dodson, Joshua Dodson, Joey (Tara) Dial, and Abbey (Nick) Dial; brother, Darrell Dodson; grandchildren, Jaden Dodson, Misty Dodson, and Robert Benton. Visitation with the family will be at Watson Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM with graveside service following at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Watson Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 405 Sharp Springs Road, Winchester, Tennessee, 37398, 931-967-2345, www.watsonfhtn.com
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to his daughter's opportunity to foreign missions in Africa.
