Lorena married Beverley "Bev" Houston Poore on December 28, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2018. She was a member of Buck Creek United Methodist Church. Lorena enjoyed quilting, gardening and reading books.
Surviving are her children: Susan E. (Gary) Bowser of Greencastle, IN; Cathy L. Poore of Cincinnati, OH; Lisa A. (John) Gick of Fowler, IN; Terry A. (Karen) Poore of Lafayette, IN: siblings; Georgia Greer of Monroe, MI, Eula Grey Luckadoo of Tazwell, TN, Lonnie B. (Sondra) Wylie of Maynardsville, TN and Tommy (Sheila) Wylie of Knoxville, TN; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitation will be held from 10am-11am on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, 822 N. 9th Street, Lafayette with funeral service beginning at 11am with Pastor Dwight Monical officiating. Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com

We are across the street neighbors for over 25 years. We will miss her friendly wave and watching her tend to her flowers - daily.
Our sympathies to her whole family.
However - we are at peace knowing that Lorena and Bev are together again.
