Earl H. Barr, 83 of Colona, Il & Pharr, Tx passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis after a very brief illness. He was born January 2, 1941 in Kansas.

He started his family in Quincy, Il with Patt . Their life brought them to the Quad City Illinois area. Earl later met Lucille. They married September 29th 1990. Through the years they became avid campers, camping every weekend spending time with kids and grandkids. When Earl retired from John Deere, he and Lucille decided they were gonna snow bird to Texas, coming back to the quad city area in the summers.

Earl lost his wife Lucille December 18, 2019, unexpectedly. He continued to travel back and forth between Illinois and Texas. While in Illinois, he loved spending time with his Family and Friends. He loved going to Car Shows. And made sure he got his Free Village Inn slice of pie, every single Wednesday, where he’d crack his jokes to his waitress.

Those left to cherish the memories of such an amazing man are his son Jeff, of San Antonio, Texas. Michelle, of Geneseo, Il. Chad (Crista) Colona, Il. 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. His Brother Jerry and His Sister Patty. Numerous family members and friends he considered family.

Earl was proceeded in death by his wife, Lucille and His son Randy, and many family members.

At this time we ask his friends and family to celebrate Earl’s life in a way that suits their relationship to him. Share his stories, crack his jokes, and quote his one liners.

“Holy Buckets” how he will be missed.
