Earl Barney Bavousett of Paint Rock, Texas passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home.
Earl was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Barney and Margaret Bavousett on September 27, 1950. Earl met the love of his life, Cheryl McCasland and they married on August 22, 1970, in Goldsmith, Texas. They welcomed a son Michael Earl born May 14, 1971.
Earl grew up in Dell City, Texas, with brothers, Walter and Robert and many friends. Earl excelled in athletics being a quarterback and captain of his football team. The local newspaper dubbing him as speedy Earl Bavousett. Earl also played baseball and basketball.
After graduation Earl went to work for Pioneer Natural Gas in Goldsmith, where he worked for over forty years through various companies’ buyouts. Earl and Cheryl moved to Seagraves where Earl worked and retired as manager of Storage operations for Oneok Texas Gas solutions.
Earl loved hunting, fishing, barbecuing and spending time with his family. Many great notable fishing trips will be remembered fondly by the family.
Earl was blessed with two grandsons Jordan and Zachary. The grandsons have many loving memories of time spent with their grandpa whether vacationing or just sitting around the house and listening to jokes that grandpa would inevitably forget the punchline.
Earl lost the love of his life in 2015 when Cheryl passed away. He was never quite the same without her.
In 2024 Earl was blessed with a great grandson, Jeremiah Ven.
Preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl; his father, Barney Bavousett; and his mother and father-in-law, Monetta and Vernon McCasland.
Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Michael and wife Shanna Bavousett; grandsons, Jordan Bavousett and wife Dustee, and Zachary Bavousett; great grandson, Jeremiah Bavousett; his mother, Margaret Bavousett; brothers, Walter Bavousett and wife Maureen, Robert Bavousett and wife Linda; and many loving family members including in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
We take solace in knowing that Earl has been united with the love of his life Cheryl and that one day we will all be together as a family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
