Edna “Boonie” Harrell Skinner, 87, of Elm City passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Inurnment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Rev. Melvin Barnette will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Boonie is survived by her daughters, Sandy Skinner and husband, Dan of Raleigh, and Kellie Skinner of Bailey; sons, Keith Skinner of Wilson and his stepson, Dustin Thomas, and Ray Skinner of Wilson and his children, Candice Martinez, Sarah Sauls and husband, Dennis and Tommy Skinner; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; sister, Carolyn Flora; brothers, George Harrell and wife Ora Lee, and John Harrell and wife Brenda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and George Harrell; sister, Rachel Pearson, and her brother, Kenneth Harrell.
