Edna Patitucci Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers on May 23, 2024.
Edna Faye Patitucci, born October 19, 1944, and died on May 18, 2024 surrounded by family. Edna was born in Sacramento CA to Cecil and Lucille White. The family moved to Vallejo CA where she attended Vallejo Schools and graduated in 1964. In her earlier years she worked for Kaiser Hospital and Mare Island Naval Shipyard. It was at Mare Island Naval Shipyard where she met the love of her life, Tony Patitucci. They got married in 1979 and had 41 wonderful years until Tony passed away in February 2020.

Edna lived in Fairfield CA until 1990 where she and Tony then moved to their forever home in Sutter Creek, CA. During that time, they also bought a beautiful ""winter home"" in Desert Hot Springs that would eventually become their permanent home.

Edna and Tony opened a café in the 80's called Patitucci Choo Choo Stop Café which quickly became one of the best breakfast/lunch spots in Vallejo. They would eventually sell the restaurant in 1989. At that time Tony retired and Edna would go on to work for the Department of Defense(DOD) as an Investigator. She worked for the DOD until she retired in 2004.

After Edna retired, she didn't sit still for long, she took up the hobby of making chocolate and would soon open the ""Chocolate Lady"". She sold her chocolates to local wineries in the Sutter Creek area and had an on-line shop and store front in Sutter Creek. She eventually sold that and retired.

Edna loved to travel with Tony. They were fortunate to be able to travel the world including a trip to Italy, Tony home country. She loved spending time with family and friends. You could often find her playing a game of scrabble or pinochle with her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many of whom she was able to take trips with.

Edna is proceeded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband Tony. Edna is survived by her children, Heidi (Norman) Gee, Robert (Tey) CrossCarpenter, Hayley(Donny) Burton, Jodi (Tom) Davenport, Linda Solarek, Daniel (Alicia) Solarek, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
