Edward Arnold La Croix Obituary

Edward Arnold La Croix II, a lifelong native of Virginia Beach, VA, made his grand entrance into the world on November 12, 1997, and departed on October 26, 2025, at the age of 27. Though his time with us was all too brief, he certainly made it memorable.
Edward had a knack for keeping life lively, whether it was by hanging out with his boys, diving into epic gaming sessions, or casting a line on a lazy fishing day. Known for his wit and charm, he had a particular talent for making his grandma Jessie chase him around the house when he was younger-a true goofball at heart.
A proud resident of Virginia Beach, Edward grew up in the same house his entire life, surrounded by neighbors who became like extended family. He stayed in close touch with his grandparents in California, always ensuring that those closest to him knew they were loved. His famous sayings, "It'll get done" and "I got you," were not just words but promises he lived by.
Edward was mellow for the most part, but when something needed to be said, he wasn't one to hold back. Stubborn and hard-headed at times, he was not a follower, choosing instead to carve his own path. His giving nature and willingness to help others left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He always made sure to say "I love you" before leaving.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward, and his grandpa, Sarg. Surviving him are his loving mother, Ruby; his beloved grandma, Jessie; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Special thanks go out to those who stood by Edward throughout his life, including his best friends: Donta, Stevie, Lil' Josh, Jahlil, Gabe, Big Josh, and Darren. Also, heartfelt gratitude to those special people who were always there to lend a hand: Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Phil, Howie and Tracie, Shelly and Bill, Michael, and Denise.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, with doors opening at 11am, the service to start at 12pm and a reception to follow. As we gather to celebrate Edward's life, let's remember him as the steadfast friend and loving son who always had our backs. Rest easy, Edward.
To honor Edward's memory, the family has requested donations be made to The Doorways, who provide lodging and support for patients and their families who need to be close to hospitals, but not far from the feeling of "home".
