Edward Gibson Obituary
Born May 13, 1943 in Swain County, NC, he was a son of the late James Walter and Hettie Roland Gibson. Edward retired from Whitten Center as their postal carrier. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Stacey Hansel (Shannon) of Whitmire; his grandchildren, Joshua Corley (Brandi), Jennifer Michelle Dye (Stephen), Payton Hansel, and Sarah Gibson; his great-grandchildren, Alleigh Corley, Gauge Gibson, Cheyenne Dye, Ember Corley, Salem Corley; and his sister, Mary Alice Nelson.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael "Mickey" Gibson.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Whitmire Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Weaver officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Autism Foundation, 2701 Little Elm Parkway, Ste 100-513, Little Elm, TX 75068.
Gray Funeral Home of Whitmire is assisting the Gibson family with services.
