Eleanor Zemba Obituary

Eleanor Marie Godwin Zemba, age 77 of Castalian Springs, passed away October 25, 2024. She was born in Somerville, Tennessee December 9, 1946 to the late Hubert Joseph and Mary Frances Godwin. She is also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Alisa Dawn Gatlin; grandmother, Emma Ross; siblings, Edward Godwin, Ronald Godwin, David Godwin, Kathy Anderson, Curtis Jackson, and Bill Watkins. Eleanor is survived by her Husband, Wendol R. Zemba; her children, Christine Perkins, Cindy Pepper, Joseph Leyman, April (Will) Leyman-Larsen, and Jessica (Joseph) Counts; step-children, Debbie (Bill) Hullett, Rick (Terri) Zemba, Ronnie Zemba, Barbie (Don) Bigbee, Tracie (Arthur) Williams, Rebecca Hancock, and Peggy Zemba; siblings, Jean Reynolds, Kay Colleran, Mary Elizabeth Godwin, and Wayne Ivey. She also leaves behind over 20 grandchildren and more than 30 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin on Monday October 28 from 4-7 pm. Chapel Service will be on Tuesday October 29 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens.

Eleanor Marie Zemba will be remembered for her love of the Lord, family, her generous spirit, and the countless moments of joy she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever cherish her memory.
