Elizabeth Black Obituary

Elizabeth Jean Black, 93, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at The Gardens of Eastside in Greenville, SC. She was born October 15, 1931 and was preceded in death by her husband, William Hubert Black. Jean and Hubert Black were active in the Cobb County community most of their married life and active in the local church.
Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. She is survived by her son, William Hubert Black, Jr. and his wife, Arleen Black, and her daughter, Teresa Black Deas and husband Thomas Clarke Deas, and grandchildren, Kelly Deas Carcamo, Laura Deas Espeut, Jeremy Black, and Emily Black Holley. Her five great grandchildren are Brayden Carcamo, Calan Carcamo, Valenteen Carcamo, Mason Espeut, and Jack Espeut.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with graveside service following at 2 pm at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna is in charge of arrangements. www.carmichaelcares.com 770-435-4467
