"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
On Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, God in His infinite wisdom called home His faithful servant, Elizabeth McFadden, at the age of 91. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing she has entered into eternal rest in the loving arms of her Savior.
Biography
Elizabeth McFadden was born on July 13th, 1934 in Lake City, SC to Eloise and Willis Graham. From a young age, she carried herself with grace, determination, and strength. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life and remained steadfast in her faith, finding joy and purpose in serving God in Song.
Throughout her life, Elizabeth was a devoted mother, sister and friend. She worked diligently to provide for her family and those she loved, often putting others before herself. Her compassion knew no bounds.
If you didn't know her, she was Elizabeth; but to those who truly did, she was Liz or affectionately known as Boot. Everyone who met her could tell you one thing - no one made potato salad like she did!
Liz devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a health caregiver, showing compassion and dedication in every task. Retirement couldn't keep her away from serving others for long; within months, she found herself called back to work, this time in early childhood care. There, she poured her heart into nurturing every child as if they were her own, leaving a lasting impact on the little ones and their families alike.
Outside of her work and family life, Liz enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking Sunday dinners, singing in the Gospel Choir, helping whenever she could and spending time with her grandchildren. Her strength and faith left an imprint that will never fade. She read her Bible and got on her knees for prayer nightly, while she could.
Legacy
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eloise and Willis Graham; her beloved sister, Lelia Mae Spates; loving Brother-in-law, Bennie Joe Spates, Daughter-in-law, Kimberly McFadden and her cherished sons, Samuel McFadden and Levern McFadden.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Nathaniel Ernest McFadden, Annette Gloria McFadden, Gwendolyn Faye McFadden, Derrick McFadden, Shawn Hudson, Shaneen (Keith) Jones, Tanya (Tito) Drakeford, Stepal (Alexandria) Love, Larrisha (Ronald) Love-Jones, Cassandra (Johnnie) Harris, Lacrecia McFadden, great-grandchildren; Nasir Hudson, Nevaeh Person, LaQuan & Harmony Jones, Kyana (Spencer) Crump, Kameron & Kameya Drakeford, Zoe Haugabrook, Autumn Love, Ronald RJ Jones, Gianni & Johnnie Harris Jr, and Layla McFadden along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
Although her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever live on in our hearts; as she taught us to put our hands to the plow, serve God, work hard, and have faith.
Her journey here is complete, but her soul rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord - where joy is eternal and love never ends.
To God be the glory for the life, love, and legacy of Elizabeth McFadden
