Elizabeth (Betty) F. Sauer, 95, of Jackson died peacefully at home Monday, May 19, 2025 surrounded by family. Betty was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA moving to New Jersey and completing her education at St. Mary's. After meeting and marrying the love of her life they later moved to Linden where she lived until 1995 before moving to Toms River. Her stay in Toms River lasted until 2022 when she made her final move to Jackson. Betty worked many years as a bookkeeper at Hexacon Electric in Roselle Park but especially enjoyed cruising and traveling the globe with her husband, Tom.
Betty is predeceased by her husband of 75 years in 2024 and her son, Thomas F. Sauer in 2013. Betty is survived by daughter-in-law, Francine Sauer, sons, Dennis J. Sauer (Laurie), David E. Sauer, siblings, Joseph Sauer, Eileen Savard (Donald) 6 grandchildren Alison Kennedy (David), Thomas Jr. (Kimberly), Melissa, Matthew (Caiti), Christina, Glenn and 6 great grandchildren who adored her, Jack & Charlotte Kennedy, Thomas III & Ava Sauer, Hayden Stover, and Waylon Sauer.
Visitation is Thursday 4-8 PM at Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. Funeral Mass at 10:30 will follow a final viewing at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Friday at St. Luke's Church, Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's of the Lake Cemetery, Toms River.
