Elizabeth E. Smith, age 77, of Louisburg, died on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. A native of Washington, NC, Elizabeth had a giving and caring spirit. She enjoyed her work as an EMT on the Fuquay-Varina Rescue Squad and volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader. Elizabeth went on to work for University Ford in Durham, NC, for 30 years before retiring.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Elwood and Lottie Smith, brother, Kenneth Smith, all of Washington, NC, and a baby daughter, Ginger Brown, of Fuquay-Varina, NC.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Nicholson (Tim), of Louisburg, and granddaughter, Megan Bacon (Justin), of Raleigh.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 o' clock in the Afternoon at Village Church Rolesville.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute with memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Amedisys Foundation for hospice care.
