Elsie "Debbie" Beausoleil, 94, of Marlborough, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Emerson Hospital – Concord, MA.
She was the daughter of the late Nunzio and Antonetta(Gonnelli) Bicchieri and wife of the late Paul E. Beausoleil, to whom she'd been married for 66 years.
Born and raised with her 13 much loved siblings on 200 acres in Waltham, MA, she was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1947, attended finishing & business schools, and began her career at Raytheon. She came to love the hospitality industry best, becoming a manager first at the iconic Pillar House in Newton, MA, followed by her longest, most loved work as a manager at the historic Longfellow's Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA for 43 years until retirement in 2008. She spent her golden years volunteering in many roles within the City of Marlborough up until her 90th Birthday, and was acknowledged as Senior Volunteer of the Year. She made countless lifelong, cherished friendships along the way.
She was a dedicated, loving, hands on mother and celebrated her roles as Grammy and Great Grandma. She had a lifelong love of music and dancing, from Patti Page to Frank Sinatra; Big Bands to the 50's to 70's Disco. If music was playing, the Bicchierigirls were dancing.
Elsie "Debbie" was predeceased by beloved siblings: brothers Anthony (Mary), Frank (Virginia), Joe (Dorothy) and Johnny (Margaret) Bicchieri; and sisters Anna Chisholm (Benny), Mary Gullotti (Tony), Lee Nee (Phil), Emma Labelle (Ernie) and Eleanor Brennan (William).
Debbie is survived by daughters Paulette Grant of Seattle, WA and Lisa Beausoleil of Marlborough, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Casey, Corey and Shelby Grant of Seattle, and two great-grandsons, Connor and Cooper. She is also survived by "baby" brother Ralph Bicchieri (Carol) and treasured sisters Ann Schandelmayer (Cliff), Josephine Carlson (Carl), and Louise Ferla (Robert), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Debbie will be held Monday, May 20, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, promptly at 11:00am at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
