Emanuel Yoder Obituary

Emanuel M. Yoder, 78 years, 8 months, and 18 days, born December 31, 1942, to Mose and Susan (Yoder) Yoder at Chouteau, Oklahoma. He died on September 18, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with cancer. On November 22, 1962, he married Minnie Elsie Gingerich, who survives. He was a retired farmer, carpenter, and mechanic. Emanuel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church of Chouteau, Oklahoma.
The surviving family includes his wife and nine children. Five daughters and four sons, Pauline (Glen) Christner of Chouteau, Freeman (Ada) Yoder of Coalgate, OK, Vernon (Carolyn) Yoder of Chouteau, Esther Yoder of Chouteau, Martha (Orva) Miller of Chouteau, Harvey (Arlene) Yoder of Chouteau, David Eli (Eva) Yoder of Haven, KS, Irene (Marc) Hershberger of Inola, Ellen Yoder of Chouteau, twenty-four grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Brothers, Melvin M.S. (Katie) Yoder of Chouteau, Perry (Sylvia) Yoder of Chouteau, Lloyd (Mary) Yoder of Drakesville, IA, David (Marie) Yoder of Chouteau, Sisters, Ella (Joe) Mast of Chouteau, and Irma Yoder of Chouteau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Freemon and grandson, Kenton Ray Yoder.
The visitation will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Harvey Yoder Home, 10155 S 428 Rd. Chouteau, OK 74337.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. at the Harvey Yoder Home, 10155 S 428 Rd, Chouteau, OK 74337. Burial will follow at the North Amish Cemetery at Chouteau.
