Emma Lake Obituary

Miss Emma Mackenzie Lake, age 9, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday evening, September 28, 2024.
Born July 8, 2015, in Charleston, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Brantley Allan Lake and Tamara Michelle Crosby Lake. Emma was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church, where she was baptized in 2023. Emma enjoyed going to the river and recently became a fan of Harry Potter because of her best friend, Lacy Wiggins. Just like her sister, Avery, she was a farm girl at heart. Born with farm life in her blood, she loved every aspect of living on a farm and especially loved goats.
Surviving are: her parents, Allan and Tamara Lake of Walterboro; sister, Avery Michelle Lake of Walterboro; grandparents, Timothy and Karen Crosby of Walterboro and Chris and Becky Lake of Walterboro; great grandparents, Donald and Mary Alice Crosby of Walterboro and Phyllis Gibson of Islandton; uncles, Trevor Crosby (Neeley) and their daughter Leah, Cody O'Quinn (Kayla), and Brandon Lake (Megan) and their children Jackson and Lawson; and aunts, Tansi Mary Crosby (Cameron) and their children Cade and Helen, and Alyssa Crosby. Emma is also survived by an extended host of family and those who have become an integral part of her life over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter (FoCCAS), 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday morning, October 3, 2024, at Great Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Danny Zorn officiating.
