Enrique C. Cortez, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Enrique was born October 09, 1948 in Odem, Texas to Jose and Virginia Cortez. He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers- Lionel (Marta) Cortez, Jose (Diana) Cortez, Arturo (Sylvia) Cortez, and Angel "Kelly" (Gloria) Cortez, 1 son- Jesus Enrique Cortez, 1 special niece- Melinda Trejo, and his loving wife- Felicita Cortez.
Survivors:
2 Daughters: Maria Irma (Alejandro) Cortez of Alice, Texas and Linda Ann (Juan) Alvarez of Sandia, Texas
3 Sons: Enrique Cortez Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Felix Daniel Cortez of Dallas, Texas, and Gregorio "Goyo" (Rosie) Cortez of Garland, Texas
1 Sister: Virginia "Ginny" (Ralph) Zepeda of Alice, Texas
1 Brother: George (Alicia) Cortez of Alice, Texas
21 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren
And his loving dog: Tito
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the REAL Home Health nurses Angie, Belinda, Charlotte, and Linda Jo and the Del Cielo Hospice nurses Norma and Melissa.
A visitation will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM with a funeral service to begin at 11AM in the Roberson Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will follow in the Roberson-Collins Memorial Cemetery.
