Eric Brian Corwin, 58, of Rootstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of his wife.
Born October 22, 1966, in Hundington, England, Eric was the son of Leroy and Jill Corwin. At the age of two, his family moved to Bucyrus, Ohio, where he grew up and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1985. During his high school years, Eric was a proud member of the football team. In his younger days, he worked as a lifeguard, enjoyed Derby cars, and developed a lifelong passion for adventure.
Eric married the love of his life, Jennifer Y. Hershey, on October 23, 2013. Together, they shared a love of travel, exploring amazing destinations, and going on cruises that brought them great joy.
Eric was known for his playful creativity and especially loved decorating his home for Halloween. Each year, he transformed his yard into a neighborhood masterpiece, bringing smiles to visitors while collecting canned goods for the Center of Hope in Ravenna-a tradition that reflected his kind and generous heart.
Eric was a devoted fan of the Cleveland Guardians and Ohio State Football and could always be found cheering on his favorite teams. He was a member of Fairhaven Church in Rootstown and was baptized in June, 2024, a testament to his enduring faith and spiritual journey.
Eric is preceded in death by his stepson, Hayden John Kaiser. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, and their beloved dogs, Dent and Matilda; his children, Margaret "Maggie" and Reagan Corwin; his parents, Leroy and Jill Corwin; and his sister, Alena Corwin.
Eric's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Cleveland Clinic Hospice for their care and support, as well as to the many friends and loved ones who shared their prayers and kindness during his final months.
In honor of Eric's legacy of generosity, in lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Center of Hope, 1081 W. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio 44266 (www.fcsserves.org/program/center-of-hope).
