ESTHER R. GLENN
Esther R. Glenn, age 82, of Cleveland, Missouri, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Cullen Funeral Home, Inc., 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Esther will then be laid to rest at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri.
Esther was born in Norwood, Missouri, on September 23, 1943, to Ervin J. York and Verbie L. (Gray) York. She graduated high school and soon after married the love of her life, Nova, on May 15, 1961. For 33 years she worked as a school bus driver, a role she took great pride in. Esther was a devoted member of the Belton Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, crocheting and knitting, and spending time outdoors--especially going to the lake and camping with her family. For many years she took groups of children from the church to youth camp, where she served as their sponsor and made sure every child felt included and cared for. Her life was marked by service, creativity, and a deep love for her family and church community.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Chester York.
She is survived by her husband, Nova Glenn; four sons, Gary Glenn (Susan), Larry Glenn (Vicki), Mark Glenn, and Jonathan Glenn (Melly); ten grandchildren; and thirty one great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be given by mail to the Missouri State Freewill Baptist Youth Camp, 7627 State Hwy M, Niangua, Missouri 65713.
