Florence Marie Scanlon, 62 of Pullman, passed away at home on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Born on November 12, 1961 in Chicago Illinois to Raymond and Florence Carey.
Flo is survived by her son Michael (Clarissa) Scanlon, grandchildren; Malachi Scanlon, Delilah Scanlon, brothers; Raymond (Janet) Carey, Daniel (Gail) Carey, Bernard (Nancy) Carey, Thomas (Kathleen) Carey, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother John Carey.
In her younger years Flo was very athletic and played many different sports. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. She worked in Chicago as an aide for the Young Life Youth Group and at Graham School for many years as an aide. Flo then worked at Barber Packaging in Bangor and moved to a farm in Pullman, where she raised chickens and ducks. Flo loved being outdoors, fishing and being in the sun. Flo was a woman of great faith, selfless, very kind, she loved her son, grandkids, family and dog Gizmo very much. She fought hard to stay here as long as she could, never once complaining, but has now been welcomed into the Kingdom of God, she will be forever missed.
Visitation for Flo will be Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 12 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Ave. South Haven, Michigan 49090. Pastor Greg Carlson will Officiate. Flo will be laid to rest in Lee Twp. Cemetery, Pullman, Michigan.
