Floyd Neal Obituary

Floyd Elvin Neal, age 71|, died Friday November 1, 2024, at home in Wilson City.
Born May 5, 1953, at Wyatt, to the late Dave Neal and Jewel Lee Jones Neal, He grew up in Mississippi County where he was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church rural Charleston. Floyd attended Charleston High School in Charleston, Missouri where he graduated with honor. Floyd attended the University of Missouri Columbia, MO, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Engineering. He then went to work with Ralston- Purina Company throughout several States. Additional jobs included University of Rolla extension program through Southeast MO, Cargill, and the State of Missouri Department of Agriculture as a grain tester & inspector. He had return back home earlier to be close to family. He was a loving and caring person who the community will miss.
He survived by his daughter Morgan Neal; son, William Campbell, three grandsons; sister Linda Neal; brother, William Neal; nieces, Shawna Neal, Cassandra Dowell and honorary niece Nakeshia Griffin, nephew Wendall Cooper. 3 great nieces and 1 honorary niece, 2 great nephew and 1 honorary great nephew. 1 great-great niece and 2 great great-nephews.
In addition of his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers David Neal, Charles Neal and his sisters Geraldine Neal and Norman Jean Neal.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 9, 2024, at McMikle Funeral Home, in Charleston MO.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour 11:00 a.m. Pastor Laverne Frazier will officiate.
Interment will follow at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
